Marimo is a small green ball, a green organism. In the design glass jar, which we choose for each of them, it will be a unique decoration of your interior. It needs nothing but light, clean water and your attention to live.

It is a species of filamentous green algae, whose home are the lakes in Japan and Northern Europe. In its natural environment, it is protected today. Therefore, it began to be grown artificially. The marimo lives from photosynthesis, so it needs enough light, but not direct sunlight. It likes colder water. It is best to use stagnant or boiled water.
In nature, streams of water play with it in the shallow waters of lakes. As a result, it gets rid of impurities, can absorb light from all sides and grow into its typical round shape. In home environment, it is up to you. Regularly, every 1-2 weeks, turn it to grow evenly, squeeze it to get rid of air, otherwise it will float on the surface, and change the water, always half the volume. It grows slowly, about 5 mm per year.
